Pilot Dean Vitale won the inaugural Vandenberg Underwater Grand Prix held in Key West, Florida on June 13, 2010. Vitale set the course record of four minutes and 5 seconds powered by his Pegasus Thruster. Vitale received his first place honors in the post race award ceremony at the Hog Fish Bar in Key West, Florida.

Video from the Inaugural Vandenberg Underwater Grand Prix featuring Formula H2O racing around a course on the wreck. Formula H2O is scuba divers racing using diver propulsion vehicles or DPV's. The first event was huge success and three more events are planned in Florida in 2010.
